ABOUT US


The LPJ Foundation was established to further the causes of education and cancer awareness by awarding students who have a desire to study STEM or the natural sciences with a scholarship to further their education.

Mrs. Lenora Paschal Johnson(deceased)


was a native of Miami, FL, and daughter of Mr. Fletcher A. Paschal, III and Dr. Rozalyn H. Paschal. In 1999, she graduated from Florida State University with a B.S. in Science and Math teaching with an emphasis in Biology and Chemistry. She started her career in education at the DeKalb County School System in Decatur, GA, as a science teacher, at Clarkston High School. While at Clarkston, Lenora worked on professional learning, community partners, worked on several school improvement committees, and monitored the implementation of a school grant. In 2003, she graduated from Cambridge College with a Masters of Arts in School Administration. She was a member of Toastmasters International; an organization whose purpose is to improve public speaking in the community. In 2011, Lenora relocated to South Florida, and married Larry L. Johnson of Tallahassee, FL. Lenora fought a short and courageous battle with cancer. The Lenora Paschal Johnson Foundation was established in 2012 to further the causes of education and cancer awareness.
